Summary | 0000102: Right-click non-functional in FSE with display mode switcher active
Description | When right-clicking within MPC-HC in FSE, madVR switches the refresh rate back to the original but then switches back to the preferred one immediately after which not only closes the right-click menu but basically prevents me from using the right-click menu in exclusive mode when the refresh rate has been switched.
Steps To Reproduce | 1) In FSE 2) Display mode switcher switches the refresh rate. 3) Display mode switcher is set to switch from original refresh rate on fullscreen and switch back when going back to windowed/overlay.

Personally, it would be nicer if madVR could somehow detect that MPC-HC changed to windowed mode due to a right-click and then just maintain the refresh rate that the display mode switcher changed to in the first place. That way the delay I experience while changing refresh rates won't even occur when I need to access the right-click menu. Just a thought. |
|
Do you have the option "rendering\exclusive mode settings\delay switch to exclusive mode by 3 seconds" activated? If not, try doing that. Then madVR should stay in windowed mode for 3 seconds after you've right clicked. The right click menu might disappear in the moment when madVR switches display modes, but you should be able to right click another time before madVR goes back to FSE mode. |
|
Yes, after checking the delay the problem is solved. Is there a way to selectively detect right-clicks on the window, however? |

Ok, good to know. I'll close this bug then, because the current behaviour is not a bug, but a consequence of the display mode switch canceling out the context menu. It is on my long term to do list to maybe detect context menus (and similar situations) and avoid this problem. But it's not easy to do, and will not be implemented in the short term. For now I'd suggest that you keep the 3 second delay active. |
