| Description | Toggling subtitles off/on quickly in the splitter with "Delay playback start until render queue is full" enabled can occasionally cause madVR render queue to fail to fill, leaving the media player in a paused state. | ||||
| Steps To Reproduce | Enable "Delay playback start until render queue is full" in madVR Open MKV video with a single embedded text subtitle track. Press "s" in MPC-HC twice quickly when a subtitle line is being displayed, to quickly toggle subtitle off/on in the splitter. Upon pressing "s" the second time, madVR's render queue fails to fill from 0, leaving MPC-HC in a paused state. If unable to reproduce, try a different video. For reasons unknown, difficulty reproducing this bug can vary based on the sample. | ||||
| Additional Information | This bug occurs even when no subtitle renderer is present in the graph. This bug occurs in media players other than MPC-HC as well. This issue does not seem to occur when using Haali Splitter, which suggests a possible LAV Splitter bug. Haali Splitter seems able to enable/disable the subtitle track within a split-second, even when "Delay playback start until render queue is full" is enabled. Lav Splitter on the other hand seems to take up to 2 seconds to either enable or disable the subtitle track when "Delay playback start until render queue is full" is enabled. | ||||
