My testing was done with LAV Video software decoding on 10bit H264 with P010 output to madVR.

Just in time for 87g... :) Can you please test 87g? And the "madVR - cyber.ax" in 87g? If the problem still occurs, please provide me with even more settings information. E.g. deinterlacing on/off, debanding on/off, smooth motion on/off. Software/DXVA copyback/DXVA native decoding. Etc... I need all this because I tried to reproduce the problem, but failed.

Didn't expect you to get around to this issue so quickly :P

0.87g has essentially resolved the CPU load issue. It's now close enough that the remaining difference can be chalked up to new features added.

madVR 0.86.11 = 1.52% +/- 0.02% CPU load

madVR 0.87g = 1.63% +/- 0.02% CPU Load

The special 'cyber' build seems slightly worse with 1.67% +/- 0.02% CPU load.

Great - thanks, one problem solved. Now I hope most of the other problems are solved by 87g, too, so I can go work on NVidia/OpenCL.
