Summary | 0000189: Smooth Motion turns on for 29.97 fps interlaced videos with “only if there would be motion judder without it...” selected
Description | On a 60Hz display, with smooth motion set to enable “only if there would be motion judder without it...”, smooth motion turns on when a 29.97 fps interlaced video (video mode interlacing) is played. I am not forcing film mode, rather automatic source type detection is being used.
Steps To Reproduce | It happens apparently on my PC only.
Additional Information | I described this issue in madVR thread sometime back. After a couple of conversations, you were able to identify the issue. I am posting this bug here so that it doesn’t get lost. Below is a quote to your comment, to help you recall the issue: "according to your log madVR seems to think that forced film mode is activate (so 60Hz, 24fps). However, after the first frame comes in, actually video mode deinterlacing is performed. Right now I'm a bit confused about this. Will have to look at it in more detail later..." http://forum.doom9.org/showthread.php?p=1665894#post1665894 I have uploaded the same debug log which I uploaded at that time. I have also checked with the latest madVR build (v0.87.8b) that the issue is still there.

I think this should be fixed in v0.87.9. If not, please reopen this bug and upload a new debug log created with v0.87.9. Thanks. |
