Summary | 0000196: A/V out of sync after several times of jumping between windows and fullscreen mode with the new windowed rendering
Description | A/V being out of sync after several times of jumping between windows and fullscreen mode with the new windowed mode when movie fps equals to refresh rate. I found that the video is being faster than audio after several times of toggling when playing a 24fps clip at 24hz refresh rate. It also happens regardless of whether smooth motion, debanding, 3dlut or dithering is used. No problem if the refresh rate is higher than movie fps. (Or just not observable?) It does not happen on windowed overlay mode, old windowed mode and fullscreen exclusive mode. It's more obvious if I raise the "how many video frames shall be presented in advance:" value to 16.
Steps To Reproduce | 1. Configure madVR to be using the new windowed mode. 2. Open MPC-HC and play a 24fps clip at 24hz refresh rate. 3. Press Ctrl+Enter several times to toggle rapidly between windows and fullscreen mode. 4. A/V being out of sync.

It also occurs with test build 1. A/V is in sync if I pause the playback first before toggling or if I restart the playback (by pressing space bar twice or by clicking on the seekbar) after toggling. |
|
Confirmed. The problem also occurs if I resize the playback window during playback. |

Should be fixed in v0.87.10. |
