Summary | 0000212: Delay on startup, several seconds
Description | While using madvr as a renderer, starting MPC-HC has a delay: MPC-HC window itself appears fast, but before loading the actual file several seconds pass. This causes a rather annoying usability situation.
Steps To Reproduce | Install madVR and set it as the default renderer in MPC-HC, double click any file set to open with MPC-HC to see the delay (I tried with mkv files, small ones or big ones don't make a difference, alll of them progressive.
Additional Information | The issues seem to have started around madVR 0.81, I don't get the slow startup if I use that build on older.

Hi there, this problem seems to be one of the sort where only one (or at least very few) users have this problem, but most others don't. You're the only one who has reported this problem so far. From the information you've provided I've no idea what the cause of the problem could be. It could be a configuration problem, or a driver problem, or something else. If I may suggest, it would make more sense to discuss this problem on the madVR doom9 thread first. There are many experienced users there which might be able to give clues on what's going on. Here's the link to the thread: http://forum.doom9.org/showthread.php?t=146228 |

uhm, sorry, but after like 10 months I can't really remember. I can't remember anything about it, just that it was really slow on loading. I stopped using windows for a while and now build 0.87.14 load time is acceptable. I don't think it's just me because I know I read around quite a bit and asked ppl about it; other ppl experienced it, maybe they just didn't report. doom9 seems down atm, will try later. |

Well, if the problem is gone now, no need to discuss this further on the forum. I'll close the bug report for now. If the problem comes back, please report it in the forum, and we'll see if we can identify the cause of the problem. |
