Summary0000022: Subtitles are delayed
DescriptionWhen watching films in JRiver MC18, subtitles are delayed. It seems that this could be caused by madVR:

http://yabb.jriver.com/interact/index.php?topic=78503

"We assume that the madVR interface IMadVROsdServices will show an image (subtitle in this case) right away when we provide it, but there must be a delay.

I wonder if madVR could report this latency somehow so we could adjust for it?"

This is not a bug in madVR. The OSD interface was never meant to be used for subtitles - although it can be used for that purpose.

Anyway, I'll use this bug entry as a reminder to implement that interface the J.River guys asked for.

There will be a new interface in madVR v0.86.2, called "IMadVRInfo" which will allow MC18 to read out the estimated subtitle latency, so that MC18 can adjust its behaviour accordingly.
