| Description | if present in advance is disabled for both full screen and window mode plus FSE and overlay mode is checked. madVR isn't using overlay mode and reports it is not supported by the GPU/driver. | ||||
| Steps To Reproduce | reset madVR to default settings general options -> enable windowed overlay windowed mode settings -> disable present several frames in advance exclusive mode settings -> disable present several frames in advance open a video. | ||||

Disabling "present in advance" for FSE means madVR has to use the "old FSE mode/path", and that only works properly when using IDirect3D9 instead of IDirect3D9Ex. And Overlay needs IDirect3D9Ex. So this is a technical limitation, and there's nothing I can do about it. |

i see so the choices are leave it as it is or force direct3d9ex when overlay mode is active. i guess not worth to think about trading an issue for an issue... |

I can't force IDirect3D9Ex, because then the old FSE mode wouldn't work properly, anymore. |
