Summary0000289: 0.88.1 Breaks Zoom Player 'madVR API' Option
DescriptionWhen madVR v0.88.1 is installed, the Zoom Player Control Bar functions are broken when the "Display OSD through MadVR's OSD API" option is enabled. Version 0.87.21 does not have this issue.
Steps To Reproduce1. In Zoom Player, enable "Display OSD through MadVR's OSD API".
2. Start a video playing, and go fullscreen in Zoom Player.
3. When in fullscreen, bring up the Control Bar (eg via Space).
4. Click the "Fullscreen/Restore" button on the Control Bar.
5. Instead of swapping back to windowed mode, it brings up the nav interface. Same goes for the 'exit player' button if you enable it on the Control Bar.
Additional InformationOnly occurs with "Display OSD through MadVR's OSD API" option enabled. No issues in v0.87.21. Irrelevant if FSE mode is disabled or enabled in madVR, also irrelevant if the new DirectX 11 presentation mode is enabled or disabled.

Originally reported here, I can reproduce as well:

Ok, tested 0.88.2. It fixes the original problem, but causes another bug as a side effect.

Version 0.88.2 will now cause Zoom to crash instantly when you try and toggle the madVR API option. All you need to do is to start Zoom with the option disable. Open a video file and start it playing. Go back into Zoom's options and enable the madVR API option. Click Ok to the pop-up dialog that says you have to reload the currently playing media file and then click Ok to exit back to Zoom. Hit Shift+J to reload the media file, and instant crash.

Thanks. This may be related - but we have a report (which I can reproduce) that just simply stopping a video file playing (by clicking the Stop button) will cause Zoom to hang (on my system, it also causes 100% CPU and requires Task Manager to close it) with 0.88.2 and the madVR API option enabled. Is this the same sort of crash that will be fixed in the next build?

Yes, that's the same problem. v0.88.2 has a serious bug that occurs every time madVR is closed.
