Summary0000391: [NOT A BUG][Feature request] run command when starting playback
Descriptionas per the title this is not a bug and likely low priority but I'll ask anyway
would it be possible to add a option in madvr to execute a command when playback starts e.g a batch file or powershell script ect ect
the reason for this is that my HT setup requires that I launch a application to switch the system over to `theater` mode which entails setting a custom gpu fan profile adjusting color profiles and switching the displays to HDMI out I have been executing this script manually but its pretty tiresome
I realise I am likely the only on that would have a use for this feature but who knows maybe somebody has a similar annoyance
thank you every so much for the years of work for the best thing to happen to my HT setup in years

Hi there,

the bug tracker is really only meant for bug reports, not for feature requests. Anyway. Starting a script when playback starts sounds more like something the media player should do, because that is not something that is video rendering specific. So at this point I don't think it makes sense for me to add this feature. I'm sorry.
