Summary | 0000408: NEEDI3 It does not seem to be used.
Description | If I set chroma upscaling in madvr to NEEDI3 and press ctrl+j on mpc-be I can read "chroma jinc ar" (I've attached an immage). All the others processing (catmull, bicubic, softcubic, lanczos, spline, jinc, bilateral, reconstruction and super-xbr) are correctly reported in mhc-be; also, no matter how many neurons I use it doesn't affect the performance. The same thing happen with immage doubling (NEEDI3 quadruple with 256 neurons has no impact on performance) Seem that NEEDI3 is not used at all.
Additional Information | Thanks for the good work.

obviously meant NNEDI3 and not nnedi3 sorry :) |

Have you tried reinstalling the GPU drivers? Sometimes Windows 10 updates remove the GPU OpenCL drivers, and only reinstalling the GPU drivers fixes it. |
|
Was definitely a problem with the openCL drivers,DDU the nvidia driver didn't help. I've solved doing the upgrade to win 10 letting windows re-install everything but keeping all the software app etcc.. (good trick upgrade to win 10 from windows 10 already ). After that the problem was partially solved (GPU Caps Viewer before the re-install crashed all the time due to OpenCL) , the openCL now is correctly recognized and no more crashed in GPU Caps Viewer. After resetting madvr to default settings the issue is gone. thanks again ciao da Firenze. |
