this only happens to me with DX9 windowed (new path). there are other bugs too. i guess time to skip a driver again. |
You're right, it doesn't happen with D3D11, thanks for the temporary fix! |
Exactly same is happening on my pc, Any permanent solution other than reinstalling old graphics driver ? |
I am experiencing the same issue. Enabling D3D11 rendering has resolved the issue for now. |
Okay, Somehow enabling "Direct3D 11 for presentation" in general settings (unticking "present a frame for every VSync") and reducing the queue size for both - CPU & GPU to 12 worked. Thanks for the semi-permanent solution LankyLord. |
I updated new AMD GPU driver, then it has same problem without select "use Direct3D 11 for presentation." |
Just mentioning that I am also having this same issue with both 16.9.1 and Crimson Edition 16.10.3. |
small update. windowed mode works fine with 6 or less pre rendered frames with 8 or higher it will fill up the ram. tested on 16.12.1 |
Since these all seem to be GPU driver problems which only occur for AMD users, I'm closing this bug report. Workaround: Enable the "use D3D11 for presentation" switch in madVR. |
