| Description | I've been having this problem for a while. I have the latest madvr, and it's running on DX9. When opening a video in full screen for a while, and pressing right-click, the screen turns black. If I persist with the clicks,the whole OS goes crazy slow and crashes happen everywhere. Chrome, file explorer and everything stops, the desktop background goes black too. Sometimes the whole screen turns black and I have to restart the PC. This does not happen when I enable Direct3d 11, but when I do, it takes a while to enter fullscreen mode (0000001:0000005 seconds of black screen). The debug log is too big, so couldn't upload. | ||||

Update: I found out that when pressing right-click in fullscreen mode, the issue happens every time. the screen goes black, and MPC-HC keeps eating RAM until it's all consumed, which causes the major crashes. If I kill it before it eats all the RAM, the OS doesn't crash. |

here it is known: http://bugs.madshi.net/view.php?id=431 when right clicking you are using d3d9 windowed fullscreen new path and that doesn't correctly work on amd using win 10. |

@huhn ok, I've switched to Direct3d11. But it's really annoying as it takes a while to load the video in fullscreen (it gives me a black screen for about 4 seconds) every time I enter it. Is there a solution to this? |

disable fullscreen exclusive moode and stick to d3d11. you can find it under rendering-> general settings |
