Summary | 0000005: DirectShowSource + Delay Playback Start = Gray frames on seek
Description | Having the "Delay Playback Start" option enabled in madVR causes a few seconds worth of gray frames to be seen on seek with DirectShowSource. Disabling the "Delay Playback Start" option causes seeks to be instant, and without any gray or dropped frames. It would appear that the "Delay Playback Start" option is harmful and unneeded for Avisynth input.
Steps To Reproduce | Enable "Delay Playback Start until Render Queue is Full" in madVR Open an AVS Script containing DirectShowSource only with MPC-HC. Seek. The video does not remain paused, and gray frames are seen for a few seconds.

I can reproduce the problem when seeking. Interestingly, when loading a new AviSynth script into the media player, the problem doesn't seem to occur. I'm not really sure if this is something I can fix. It could also be a bug in AviSynth's DirectShowSource. But I'll have a look at it sooner or later. Not very soon, though, too much other things to do... |

This issue may have been resolved by coincidence in 0.87.5, as it was still reproducible in 0.87.4. |

Cool - and unexpected! So I'll close this bug report. If you get the issue again, you can reopen it. |
