Cause this happen one my old card evga gtx 560 too. I tried different deinterlace method different player.it is still same issue.I use potplayer. I tried mhc be too.I tried differnt madvr version too. same issue with madvr on.I use powerdvd17 it work fine on deinterlace no that kind of problem.monitor samsung u28e59d. | ||||

It could be any of these things: 1) Maybe your GPU clocks down, then back up. Several users had this problem. You can try forcing your GPU clocks at max speed or something like that. 2) Maybe there's some service running every 25-30 minutes which consumes a lot of CPU, leaving madVR without enough CPU. 3) Maybe there's an external GPU tool running like GPU-Z or f.lux, which are known to cause problems once in a while. 4) Maybe something else happens I'm not thinking of right now. If none of this helps, one thing to look at would be to enable the OSD (Ctrl+J) and then in the moment when the frame drops occur, check the queues to see which ones are full and which ones are empty. That will give some clue as to what's happening. E.g. if the decoder queue is empty, the decoder seems to be stuck. If the decoder queue is not empty, the decoder is not the problem, but something else etc... |
all queues are full. The gpu clock is pretty high already around 1700-1949.cpu usage not very high about 29-40%.3d mark performance are fine.My old evga gtx 560 have that problem too same with 1060.I am thinking about change a brand may fix it. |
The queues are all full even in the moment when the 30-60 frame drops occur? |
Yes。 one time when the problem start occur.I even paused a while and wait and start again.after pause and start It still drop frame like must. Powerdvd 2017 plays fine 1080i bds ts file.I even try to switch different mode like old d3d9 overlay oldpath newpath all samething |
Ok, then please create a debug log (zip it before uploading, please) which captures these frame drops. The frame drops *are* listed in the OSD, right? |
I use potplayer motion adaptive x 2 deinterlace method. There is two file madvr log.txt and madvr old .txt. which one should i upload cause likely only one allowed |
The "madVR - log.txt" is the newer one, so if you stopped playback directly after the frame drops occurred, that should be the important one. |
uploaded already |
Hmmmm... The log contains the last 11 seconds your media player was still open. But playback seems to have been paused during those 11 seconds? There are no frame drops reported in this log. Do you still have the "old" log? Maybe it's in there. Otherwise you will have to recreate the log. Please don't pause/stop playback and then let the media player run for many seconds. Instead wait until the frame drops occur, then close the media player immediately. The frame drops are visible in the OSD, right? |
upload a new one . close right after . it is visible in the osd |
I can see 2 different kinds of frame drops in the log: 1) Your refresh rate is only 59.997Hz instead of 60.000Hz. So the video is slightly "faster" than the refresh rate. Which means that madVR sometimes has to drop a frame to keep video and audio in sync. I can see 3 such frame drops in the log. 2) Then, about 3 seconds before the media player is closed, madVR empties all queues because there seems to be some change to the rendering properties, maybe a size in the window size or something. Not sure exactly what. Maybe you resized the media player at that point? There are about 20 frame drops because of this. So an important question is if the frame drops 2) are a consequence of you doing something, or if they have some other reason. In any case, it would make sense to try to optimize your refresh rate to get nearer to 60.000Hz. |
can you delete the attach file .I might done something wrong.I wanna upload a new one |
Can you see the new one for me please.the refresh rate issue my old benq rl2450h is 60hz and the issue are the same. |
In this log all the frame drops are similar to the problem 1) from my previous post. The refresh rate is also 59.997Hz. I'm not completely sure if all the frame drops can be explained by the too-low refresh rate. I can also see that the time stamps in the video file are jittering to some extent which could also contribute to the problem. However, the regular pattern you're reporting makes me think that if you tweaked the refresh rate a little, the problem might go away completely. Have you had a look at the "custom mode" feature in the latest madVR build? It allows you to create a custom resolution for your TV/monitor with optimized timing parameters. That should allow you to tweak your refresh rate from 59.997Hz to something which is nearer to the optimal refresh rate. For a quick check you could simply use the EDID timings and increase the pixel clock by 0.01 mhz. This way the refresh rate should be increased to something slightly above 60.000Hz. This might be worth a test. |
new version custom mode tested with 2160p 60hz and 2160p 61hz same problem |
Does the refresh rate indicator with 61hz in the Ctrl+J OSD actually show higher than 60hz? If it's not the refresh rate, then it must be the video timestamps. But you say it occurs with *all* videos? According to the log the video doesn't seem to be played with deinterlacing. Are you running any external deinterlacing, or is the video simply progressive? It seems to be 30.000p or 60.000i (hard to say). |
yes 61hz .the problem occur with interlaced file not progressive one. i am using potplayer motion adaptive x2 deinterlace which you need to turn off madvr interlace setting.and i already test with different deinterlace method like lav's and madvr's dxva all same issue |
Have you tried madVR's forced film mode for deinterlacing? The timestamps do seem jittery, which might cause the problem, but I'm not completely sure. |
problem solved thanks for your help. it is the sound card. i use a hifi creative g5 external 7.1 soundcard which use usb connect to pc.Seems like the audio clock is not as accurate as the onboard one so after play like 15 min madvr has to drop frame to keep up with the audio clock.tried a different soundcard it was like 40 min play only 4 drop which is fine.thanks a lot |
