Summary | 0000088: Add support for new FLAC 6.1 and 7.1 channel mappings
Description | Together with the release of FLAC 1.3.0 we now also have official mappings for 6.1 and 7.1. eac3to should add support for these.

FLAC 1.3.0 has just officially sanctioned what eac3to has been doing all along. So there's nothing for me to change. In addition to that, eac3to also stores the WAV channel mask into the metadata, which allows virtually any WAV compatible channel mask to be used. This metadata is "half official". I wish it would have been made fully official in FLAC 1.3.0, too. Oh well, maybe in 1.4.0. |
