Summary0000738: 3d mvc Presentation glitches
DescriptionHi there seems to be a bug where I am getting presentation glitches when skipping in 3d movies, if I restart the movie it starts off ok and if I leave it playing it's usually ok but if I skip I get loads of presentation glitches this happens with any player I choose to use.

Initially I fixed this by going back to the old 09217 version and disabling gpu scheduling and ticking fse however this didn't hold and now I am getting presentation glitches on everything even when non skipping so this old version is completely broken for me.

I've now gone back to the latest version and the presentation glitches only happen when I skip in movies

Windows 11 24H2
Amd 7800 xt dvr 25.3.2
ryzen 5700
64gb ram
4k lg oled Connected to 4k Yamaha receiver
Steps To ReproducePlay mvc 3d movie and skip
Additional InformationI have also noticed that when you stop the movie it puts the TV back in 1080P25 instead of the original desktop resolution, But I think this has been a book for a very long time.

I rolled back my gpu driver and now both old v0217 0and latest beta is now working properly with no presentation glitches, however HAGS needs to be off and FSE need to be on for this to work though. Driver version I am using is 23.1.1 - note I am running my MADVR in 8 bit mode so not sure this is related to the known issue with 10 bit mode

Yeah, FSE is often helpful, although in theory it should no longer be needed (according to Microsoft). The reality is often different to what Microsoft says. Presentation glitches can have all kinds of causes, HAGS is one of them. Recently, I noticed presentation glitches with the 5080 when using the launch drivers - but only with 8 bit output, but not with 10/12 bit output. Fortunately, the latest driver has no fixed that specific issue.

Thanks, I thought it might be related to the 10 bit issue where you suggested there might be a screen overlay causing it, I've often thought there was something odd like that going on because sometimes my keyboard / remote loses focus when I'm playing a movie and I cant stop it or pause, this doesnt happen when I use FSE though. Main thing is I have a workaround for now, thanks again for all your hard work.
