Summary0000100: DXVA Hardware Deinterlacing is not working on Intel HD Clarkdale (dxva processing failed).
DescriptionI can use madVR to play progressive content, but it gives me an error when I try to watch interlaced material on my Dell U2410 HDMI (1920x1200):

    madVR reports:
    - dxva processing failed

It doesn't matter the type of the "Video Container", "Frame Rate", "FSE or Windowed Mode":
480i, 576i, 1080i, PAL or NTSC, any Frame Rate, any Container, Codec H264, XVID, etc…

Players Tested:
MPC-HC, PotPlayer, MPC-BE.

Graphics Card Wikipedia Details (Core i5-670 3.46 GHz) [8086 - 0042]:

Aero can be ON or OFF, it doesn't make any difference.

Interestingly enough, madVR can use DXVA2 for "Image Upscaling and Downscaling" without the error above. The video plays fine with DXVA2 Scaling Active.

In the DXVA Checker Trace Log I can see that madVR can't create something called "BobDevice" that is used by EVR-CP (trace log attached). By the way, EVR-CP works fine in all situations.

All the details about my System Configuration, screenshots of the problem, madVR Settings and Log, and DXVA Checker information and trace logs are in the RAR attached.

Is this behavior planned (or by design)? Or is this a problem with the Intel Graphics Card?
Thanks in advanced.

This has been reported before, but it will be terribly difficult to fix for me, without having access to such hardware, unfortunately... :-( So I don't have much hope I can fix this anytime soon. Unless somebody provides me with such hardware...

Hi madshi!

I already imagined that this hardware is very problematic in terms of DXVA.

You and nevcairiel always said that the Intel HD first generation is not fully compliant with DXVA. I just want to confirm that I don't have any wrong configuration in my PC.

Well, for me you can close this bug entry, or just simply delete it because as you said: it was already mentioned before. It is more like a kind of Intel bug. :)

Let's keep the focus in the future, not in the past. ;)

Thanks for your answer, and for all the time that you spend working in madVR.

Best regards,
Cameiro.

Ok, I'll close this for now. If anybody feels like sending such old hardware for me, I'd be willing to check it out, but without the hardware there's not much I can do...
