| Description | With various dithering and LUT options, there is noise appearing on black (16) and below-black content. Ordered Dither shows a low amount of noise on black, but not below black, when "disable calibration controls for this display" or "this display is already calibrated" are selected. Error diffusion does not show this noise. All dither options show noise on black and below-black when used with the "calibrate this display by using yCMS" option. | ||||

Also on pure whites. If you can do the same limiting procedure on the whites, |

The problem with ordered dithering should be fixed in v0.87.5. The noise with yCMS 3dluts is caused by a slightly raised black level, and not a fault of the dithering algorithms. |
