|Platform||AMD||OS||Windows 10||OS Version||1809|
|Summary||0000593: Madtpg will not kick into HDR mode|
|Description||Trying to use displaycal.|
When engaging Madtpg, the HDR button is press-able, however the display will not kick into HDR mode, EVEN if the entire displaycal process launches with (madtpg) in fullscreen mode.
Normal mpchc+madvr playback operation will kick TV into HDR mode when engaged to fullscreen.
Dispcal HDR process works with my nvidia setups.

|GPU Model||RX 580|
|GPU Driver Version||18.50.11.01|
|Just to clarify, It is my AMD rx580 setup during MadTPG-fullscreen which will not pop into HDR during displaycal calibration.|
I have the same issue with gtx1060 and 481.18 nv driver, switching between FSE and Windowed mode doesn't help while madVR playback switch to HDR normaly either FSE or windowed.
same issue with gtx1060,419.17 nv driver,potplayer1.7.17508,madVR 0.92.17,madVR playback can't switch to HDR.
OSD said it's NVHDR mode, but my monitor OSD said it's still SDR.
HDR from OS works but looks ugly as usual
reverting back to 398.11, fixed my problems.
Anyway you don't wanna use newer drivers because of the wrong HDR metadata.
