Summary0000624: MPC-HC crashes after starting the video.
DescriptionMPC-HC crashes after starting a video with madVR. Without it, everything works. On version 1.8.8 I received this error.

On version 1.7.13, program simply closes without errors.

Unfortunately the crash information is so limited that I can't really do anything about it. You could try using DXVA2 copyback instead of native decoding, but the chance that this fixes the crash is rather small.

Sometimes the problem is solved by rebooting PC, sometimes not. I still do not understand why this is happening.

I've no idea, either. Most users don't seem to have this problem.

Unfortunately that's a crash dump for MPC-HC, not for madVR. Normally, when madVR crashes, it produces a nice crash report for me. Which doesn't seem to happen here (for unknown reasons).

These kind of crashes are often caused by third party software which "hook" their code into other processes.

For example your virusscanner. But also NVIDIA 3D Vision Driver, RivaTuner, and more other similar tools.
