Platform | x64 | OS | Windows 10 Pro | OS Version | NT 10.0 (10240) |
Summary | 0000333: Video stops at times after exiting the fullscreen mode
Description | I am using madVR in combination with the 64-bit RC of MPC-HC+CCCP. Since some time (I first noticed it with v0.88.14) the video often pauses when you leave the fullscreen mode. The option "delay playback start until render queue is full" is inactive, while the automatic fullscreen exclusive mode is turned on. The problem didn't occur with older versions of madVR (and the same version of MPC). It was already there in Windows 8.1 and now continues to occur since I upgraded to Windows 10. I turned on debug OSD and it's always printing "Resetting Direct3D device failed (8876086c)" when the bug occurs. There's also sometimes a "dxva proccessing failed" message (when you open up a file, sometimes with the other one, etc.).
Steps To Reproduce | Open and close the fullscreen mode several times while any file (tested with mp4's) is playing.

I'm sorry for the extremely late reply. I can't seem to reproduce this problem on my PC. It's probably an Optimus problem. Optimus laptops are notoriously buggy. Does this problem still occur for you with latest Intel + Nvidia GPU drivers? Does it maybe help if you disable DXVA scaling and use something else instead? |
