Summary0000567: Videos randomly not playing and MadVR reporting "creating Direct3D device failed (88760873)"
DescriptionThis issue occurs intermittently. Sometimes I can play a video just fine and then sometimes the same file just doesn't play. When it doesn't play I just close the player and try it again. After a few tries it will usually play eventually. This seems mostly occurs to the large 4K HDR files that are like 50GB. Smaller videos almost always play just fine.

I've attached the debug log when this happens.

Does this also happen if you reset madVR to default settings?

I've reset the settings to default and the issue appears to be gone. Still have no idea which setting could cause this.

Well, you could re-enable all the settings you had changed, step by step. That way you may be able to find out which exact setting caused the issue.

I spoke too soon. After further testing this can happen even if all settings are on default.

Do you have any 3rd party software running which might also access the GPU? E.g. games, or f.lux or GPU-Z or anything similar?
